If you’re planning on flying somewhere in the next few months there may be no better time to buy a plane ticket than this weekend.
Last week we wrote about Delta’s flight sale, where it’s offering round-trip flights for as low as $93. Now United is offering a similar deal with fares as low as $97 for a round-trip flight.
Unlike Delta’s deal where each covered route is displayed on a primatial page, to find the discounted United flights you need to actually do a traditional flight search.
The Points Guy found a number of fares for $97 including Newark to Atlanta, Minneapolis to Houston, and Austin to Chicago.
Since both airlines are currently running deals, your chances of finding one on the route you’d like is a little higher than normal.
When it comes to finding those deals, your best option is to just search for flights using Google Flights rather than either airline’s respective website so you can see your options side-by-side.
And if you have flexible travel plans it always pays to look at flights on a number of different days. Sometimes the difference between flying on a Tuesday or a Thursday can be hundreds of dollars.
And keep in mind, the cheapest fares are often Basic Economy tickets, which depending on how you travel may or may not be right for you.
